The Community Thanks Many

Nothing has been easy about these last few years, nor these months as we rediscover our work together.  So I want to take a moment to offer my thanks on behalf of this community to a number of people/groups who have given and supported this faith community in various ways:

  • To all those who returned your commitment cards to the church office.  As we all continue our faith journey it is helpful to take intentional time to consider how we use and offer all that God has blessed us with.  We received more cards this year than ever before and your generous hearts continue to shape Minneola and the ministry we are able to offer in the name of Jesus Christ.  Thank you for supporting this community with your time, talents and money.

  • To the Youth Board and all those who came out for Minneola's Skating Night.  It was a roaring success with around 40 people in attendance and many of the young people asking for another skating adventure to be scheduled.  As we continue to explore ways for us to gather informally, if anyone has an idea please contact any member of the Youth Board.

  • To all who attended our Lenten Suppers and who also gave of their time and cooking talents to make sure we had delicious meals each week. It has been a few years since we gathered in such a way and once again I was blown away by everyone's engagement and joy in making sure we have this kind of space for everyone in the community.

  • Lastly, to the musicians on Easter Sunday one more time.  Thank you for giving of your time and talent to make that celebration worship lively and full of joyful noise for the resurrected Christ.  To Mary Veiseth, Suzanne Kleven, Arin Kyllo, Laden Nerison and all those who joined in the Easter Choir, THANK YOU!

It has been a wonderful Lent for Minneola and I am so humbled to be walking beside each and every one of you and this community as we find our footings again and in a world transformed.  May we continue to show up for each other and for the love of God in our lives and the lives of our neighbors.

Peace, Pr. Hannah
